Tim Head’s concerns center unerringly on a world in which there is no meaning beyond the surface - only blank spaces and shifting shadows. His consistent exploration of illusion and commercial imagery led to Head being selected to represent Britain in the prestigious Venice Biennale of 1980. His work has been acquired by such major collections as the Guggenheim, the Tate, and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Eyestorm published exclusive editions ‘State of The Art’, ‘Sign Seal Deliver’, ‘Still Life 1985’ and ‘Fallout 1985’ in 2001. Based on original or larger scale works, Eyestorm offers these images in a more accessible size and a limited edition of 30. The two ‘Dust Flowers’ pieces are from Head’s recent solo show at Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge. Quite a departure visually from previous work Eyestorm have offered from the artist, the new pieces play with the optical language of technology by presenting it in its ‘natural’ state to create an abstract sea of dense yet permeable mass of flickering matter.
