When I look at Alan Cox’s prints, I get an instant feeling of nostalgia and familiarity. By focussing on recognisable found objects from domestic surroundings and ‘ready-made’ still lives, he brings together familiar observations that we might see on a daily basis, causing the viewer to instantly connect with the work on a personal level.
