It’s not often we take new artists on at Eyestorm, so it’s always exciting for me to present and talk about work for the first time. When I first saw Turkish artist and designer Mehmet Gözetlik’s new series of photographic prints, titled ‘Chinatown’, one of the first things that struck me was how they created such a strong visual narrative, which I found extremely appealing.

The works in Victoria Browne’s ‘Training Nature’ series immediately catch the eye because it’s unlikely you’ve ever seen anything like them before. My initial thought when I first saw Donut was that it did indeed look like a donut (I hadn’t seen the title at this point) formed of a swarm of bees which had huddled together to make an almost-perfect spherical shape with a hole in it.
