Due to their popularity with collectors, James Hunter’s original paintings are rarely available, so we’re pleased to be presenting today his latest canvas Pseudoccinea. James continues to take an ‘automatic drawing’ approach - where marks are made without a conscious idea about what form the final structure will take - while using a palette of colours influenced by the Damien Hirst spot paintings he used to create before becoming a practicing artist himself.

Ross Holden’s ‘Static’ series sees the artist take fragments of photographs taken whilst travelling the world, and piece them together to make collage style works. Angie tells more below. It’s been four years since we had new work by Ross Holden, so I’m looking forward to talking about these pieces today, which are from his new series titled ‘Static’.

A number of our artist’s work has a very graphic feel about it. We have selected six of them and talk about their diverse imagery below. There can be a fine line - excuse the pun - between art and design, and a number of our artists, many of whom have also flirted with design in one form or another during their career, have blurred that line to create stunning graphic works.

It’s all been happening in Covent Garden this week in the run up to Easter as ‘The Big Egg Hunt’ comes back to London after touring the UK. Organised by leading choclatiers Lindt, the event involves 101 giant Easter Eggs which have been designed by different artists including Eyestorm’s Mark Hayward and Whitney McVeigh, being hidden in cities throughout the UK since February to support the charity Action for Children.
