After a busy 2014 we’ve been updating our inventory, and in the process can confirm we have only one print remaining of some fantastic pieces. Whether its new edition on the brink of selling out, a piece that may have been hiding away, or something that has recently become available again, the lots in our January auction form an impressive collection of limited editions by names such as Jeff Koons, Peter Blake, Mick Rock and Gavin Turk as well as popular favourites including Jacky Tsai, Lucie Bennett and Henrik Simonsen.

Alessandro Raho’s lithograph Simon is being exhibited in the ‘Face to Face: British Portraits from the Clifford Chance Art Collection’ exhibition at Sir John Soane’s Museum, London. Rarely displayed in public, the extraordinary collection explores the development of portraiture in prints, and includes works by many of Britain's most renowned printmakers, such as Patrick Caulfield, David Hockney, William Hogarth, Gavin Turk, Peter Howsen, Paula Rego and Gary Hume.

It’s not often we take new artists on at Eyestorm, so it’s always exciting for me to present and talk about work for the first time. When I first saw Turkish artist and designer Mehmet Gözetlik’s new series of photographic prints, titled ‘Chinatown’, one of the first things that struck me was how they created such a strong visual narrative, which I found extremely appealing.

The London Group - a collective of active visual artists formed in 1913 when The Camden Town Group and the Fitzroy Street group came together to support each other independently (without the support of galleries) and increase public awareness of contemporary art by staging exhibitions - is this year celebrating it’s 100th year of existence with a series of shows throughout the year, starting with one at Pitzhanger Manor in Ealing, once the home of Sir John Sloane.
