Screenprints are beautiful objects. Produced by hand, they’re created by pushing ink through a mesh onto paper, layer by layer, which can result in some spectacular pieces of work. Occasionally artists we work with choose to experiment with various materials to add an extra element of texture to their prints, and this is often seen in the form of gold or silver leaf, diamond dust, glow-in-the-dark or metallic-looking inks, embossing, embroidery and hand-finishing.

The Great Escape is our most recent project with Carne Griffiths. Angie talks more about the piece below. We were excited about The Escape screenprint when it was released back in September, as it was our first print edition with Carne Griffiths, who we’ve been working with for some time now.

Ed Thompson’s new limited edition works use some of the last remaining rolls of infrared film ever produced. The works are the first two from Thompson’s series of stunning London cityscapes that will eventually be presented in a book in 2016.

There’s something very fresh and new about Jonathan Purday’s most recent series of paintings. Continuing to focus on landscapes he’s experienced, both in the Algarve area of Portugal where he spent some time living in recent years and in Cornwall in the UK where he visited last summer, these new canvases are more complex and accomplished than previous works, almost as if Purday has ‘found his feet’ so speak with his subject matter and matured into his style of working.
