Biography

Tatiana Gerusova’s pin-up style portraits are fun, energetic and sensual. Having made a splash on the Hollywood photography scene only a few years ago, she has had her work published widely in fashion magazines, and her use of the same models repeatedly - such as 50’s style blonde bombshells Gia Genevieve and Miss Mosh - along with a great eye for effortless style and engaging compositions, have helped her to gain recognition within the industry.
Working in both colour and black and white, there’s a real sense of adventure about Gerusova’s work, suggesting a great rapport between photographer and model. In the three limited editions commissioned by Eyestorm in 2016, the beautiful subjects drape themselves in domestic locations such as sun-loungers, bath tubs and door frames, and are shot in black and white; the stark lighting accentuating the boldness of each pose. Although hugely evocative, the playful nature of the images also evokes a sense of innocence, and it’s this emotional element of the work that moves it away from merely fashion portraiture and into the realms of fine art photography.
Born in Russia, Gerusova has had a love for fashion and photography from an early age. She studied art and music at university before moving to the US in her early twenties, where she now resides in Los Angeles, California. She has had her photographs published in magazines such as Vogue Italia and Pin Up America, and her work has shown in galleries across the US. She first found recognition when she won Photo magazine’s annual contest, which resulted in her work appearing on the cover. Her first book, titled ‘Krasotka’, which means ‘beautiful’ in Russian, was published in 2015.
