Biography
Dan Baldwin’s work deals with ideas of love, innocence, life and mortality, politics and symbolism. Inspired by Pop art in his beginnings as an artist, he often incorporates imagery from the movement, portraying everyday objects in different types of paint and other materials. Baldwin creates a ‘layering’ system that encourages an element of spontaneity and chance into his work, never initially planning how a work will eventually turn out. Although primarily a painter, Baldwin also creates ceramic work.
