Lisa Eisner’s photographs of rodeo girls in the American West explore the highly developed iconography and style of her hometown’s parades. Beyond their engaging documentary qualities, these images have also been wildly celebrated within fashion circles, influencing a whole raft of designers across the globe.

With a keen eye for stylistic storytelling through the lens of her camera, Lisa Eisner has landed herself among a group of noteworthy documentary photographers in America. As fashion editor for Vogue on the West Coast in the eighties, she mingled with the who’s who in the fashion world, but her heart never left the glamourous rodeo girls back home in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Years later, Eisner pursued her interest in photography and published a series of work in 2000 in her acclaimed book ‘Rodeo Girl’. Three works from the book, Miss Rodeo America, Miss Rodeo Idaho and Frontier Days Fairground were released as photographic editions the following year.
